My favorite of all! Took about 15 - 20 min following this lad and then another 5 min to shoot.. Loved the details on his wings.. Amazing... Manni palla - a falls in Manipal (not known to many) even though the name Manipal was actually derived from it! Sun shining over the lake...  Epic Fail - I was trying to capture the water art caused by the stone...   But then what can I expect from a DigiCam! @Home, in my mothers garden. I just love the rains... And the terrain just after the rain is absolute beauty!! Took some time to focus and take this shot.. Very difficult with these digicams!! If you zoom into this pic, you can see the spider who built the web... unbelievably strong to withstand such a rain and hold onto those water droplets! We call this rathnagandhi.. don't know the english equivalent.. nevertheless - amazing color! Patrode leaf hates water ... It doesn't get wet, still in this particular spot the water drops  remain intact.. Was trying to capture th...

From the Garden of my Mom!

Image
The title sounds familiar ah? Matches my previous blog title.. well, nothing has been changed except the first word since my blog was born. Anyway, I am not up for another blah blah.. During my last visit I had taken some pics of flowers that bloom everyday in our garden. I don't know most of the 'english' names.. In case you know, please help me out...  I like flowers... don't get me wrong, not in that sense (as in girls!). I love decorating our pooja room, god idols and photos with flowers. I love them coz of their color and the pattern. They are so vibrant, soft and colorful. Here we go...  I know they (as in pohotos) could have been even better. But let me tell you, they are more beautiful than how they look here.  #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 My personal favorite is #2 & #6, what about you?? let me know :)  Cheers!!

Word'less' wednesday - Tulsi pooja

Image
Tulsi pooja setup - in our banglore home The picture above was taken few weeks ago. Tulsi pooja is one of the festival that normally comes after Diwali and is celebrated in most part of southern karnataka. As far as I remember this was the first time I missed celebrating this small pooja  with my mom in our home town. Now that I am living with my wife home away from home, we celebrated it in even smaller way, in the most congested area of our balcony :)

Wordless Wednesday... Clouds & Sun..

Image
Problems in life are like clouds in the sky It requires some effort & "patience"  Problems then just fade away, like clouds and Sun comes out shining & smiling... :)  Have a great week ahead....

"  P.S: Due to so many things, not getting enough time to pen down or even read what my fellow bloggers have written since last few days... Will try to dedicate some time in the coming days...

Word'less' Wednesday.. Window of opportunity

Word'less' Wedneday - Colors of 'Shravana'

Image
Dear readers, this week I am not posting one pic, instead I am giving you a collection of pictures taken during the auspicious month of 'Shravana'. The blend of Rain and some of the unique celebrations make this month one of my favorites. Even though women have lots to perform and comparatively we men don't have much to do (pooja perceptive..). Since this was our first series of festival after our marriage, it was even more special. Without further speech, let me present you some of the pics...  'Choodi' pooja at our bBangalore rented house my wifey doing the rituals of choodi pooja at the main door 'Choodi' pooja at our udupi home. The rangoli and godess lakshmi's footsteps.  Typical 'choodi' Tulsi setup in our udupi home. After the 'choodi' pooja.  Coconut tree view from our home. Some love from the rain to a new life on a barren land Identical? The pooja items 'Gowri' pooja setup  The gowri pooja special - vaina pooja for marri...
