You made a difference… Part 2

Read part 1 Krishna Kamath H a.k.a Kitta What can I say about this guy! Mr. Perfect. Totally justifies his name – Krishna. Not because of his color, but the characteristics. Helping nature is what makes him more lovable than anyone in our group. This hairy monster (just kidding ;) ) can leave long lasting impression in your heart once you get to  know him. He is noble, simple, loyal – who thinks from his heart before mind – who reminds me of true human values. He is not only loved by all his friends but also by their parents. This guy can put his values way beyond anything and everything, including himself. We were in the same class during PUC, yet never spoke to him even though he was (and is) the best friend of Gajanan whom I know since childhood. He was the roomie of Gaza, in the college hostel next to my room. Perhaps, that is when I became more familiar with Kitta. Things you must know: Never ever hit him on his back. He is so much allergic, even if you pat with some force, i...

You made a difference… Part 1

Disclaimer: This post is all about real people who brought difference in my life. The post is a bit too long, couldn’t help it. This is dedicated to my friends. Though it lists only few of them, doesn’t mean the rest haven’t made a difference. They say, we learn from every moment and every person we meet in life. Be it someone we know very well or a stranger. So please don’t mind if your name is not mentioned here. This is about those with whom I spent some interesting part of my life during those learning curve in the last couple of years… This may look like a testimonial, but that’s not what I wanted it to be... Devidas Sudhakar Maller a.k.a Devi You cannot judge a person by the way he looks. Devi - Excellent example! With his huge personality (I can say he was slim if compared to what he gained now), brownish color and grey/white hair – didn’t look like what he actually is. It didn’t take much time for me (or for anyone for that matter) to become his fan once I get to know about hi...

Hang out with pals - Part2

Click here to read first part... We chatted, teased and laughed like we always do. After one round of food at DeeTee, we came out and headed towards a small restaurant near bajaj show room. This was one of our pit stops whenever we visit manipal. I ordered a cheese burger which I didn’t like much as the bun was over roasted. It was 11 and we decided to go back home and get some sleep. The next morning, as usual Saturdays’, woke up at 11am and checked for any messages from these guys. I had missed the dinner the previous day, so decided to have lunch at home, while they partied in Tambulam. Devi and Kitta then came to my home and later Gaza joined us. You see, my mom is such a sweetheart who can mingle with anyone and love to make to jokes. As I had expected, it was a wonderful conversation that we truly enjoyed. Now, that all of have crossed 24 the hot topic is about the marriages. My mom in particular, is so much ready to get me into it. Like all ...

Hang out with pals - Part1

After a long time, I met my close friends last weekend. And, what else could be a better occasion than to have someone's b'day on the same day? Devi - my roommate during college days had completed his silver jubilee on this earth. He looks quiet older than that (just kidding ;) ). But don't go by his looks. In fact, we should never judge a person by his looks. Devi, is like a package of everything. Talk about any sports he is a master. And in academics he holds a gold medal! Good sense of humor, smart and a great batsman (you know what I mean :P ) As always, I remembered that it’s his b'day when Kitta called to check whether I can come for the late night party on Friday. (You can't expect me to remember the b'days of my friends - coz sometimes, I even forget my parents' birthday!)  Anyways, I was quiet bugged with all the work so waiting for something of this sort. I reached manipal at around 7.30. Kitta had many plans o...

"Incomplete" - Ramanath memories...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obJvM7ocaRM 25th Aug 09, it was my 24th birthday. Like every year, all my friends wished through calls, msg’s or e-mails. There was one person missing with whom though I had little contacts after the college, he never forgot to wish me. However, it didn’t bother me much as in this busy life even I had forgotten my friend’s birthdays. But when I came to know about the reality from my other friend Kitta, I was shocked!! He was in a horrible state since 1 week then, and I came to know about it on my birthday. Yeah, I wouldn’t have been able do anything if I had come to know about the fact… From the initial conversation, I came to know that he was suffering from some sort of fever and doctors were not able to figure out the actual problem. It had been one week since he was admitted to one of the famous hospitals in banglore. His condition was so bad that he was living with the help of four artificial machineries as support to his living organs like lungs, k...
