It can't get better than this!!

(My first poem… Copy rights reserved ;) )

I met a gal during those days of my college…

Soon we became close without our knowledge…

Days, weeks passed and then the months…

Our friendship grew and so the story begins...

I realized then I am having a crush…

But my heart said - don’t be in a rush…

Meanwhile, college was over I felt really sad…

Coz, we can’t meet so often, that’s too bad…

We promised each other, to be in touch…

This made me smile - even in a moment as such…

We kept our promise as the time flew by…

Through calls, chats, mails - and the meetings nearby…

My mind said 'no' and my heart said 'yes'…

She is the one, but I couldn’t confess…

Yes, I am in love and she’s my princess

but, am I her prince? I was clueless...

And then arrived the big day of my life…

I told her my feelings “will you be my wife”?

She didn’t say yes, nor did she refuse…

She was surprised - and, I was confused…

And then she agreed, with her lovely cheeky smile…

I was so on cloud nine! The wait was worthwhile…

I spoke to my parents and they agreed…

And now her parents, I thought, I’ll succeed…

We visited her place and spoke to her dad…

he too agreed, you see I am not that bad… :)

I got a better job and then built a house…

In that structure of my dreams I could see my spouse…

She too got the job in the same company…

And to my surprise - we were in the same team! Oh honey…

And then…

And then I fell down from my cot…

It was just a dream - So sad, is it not?

I stayed there for a while, dreaming about my love…

with a heavy heart, I whispered “It can’t get better than this… “

It was 12’o clock when I woke up last Sunday (thanks to the night shift on Friday)and heard my wife already in the kitchen, may be preparing something for lunch. "Is it a dream or..." ... part1

After a long, hard day… all I wanted is a sound sleep. It was already 10PM and I had nothing to fill my tummy since lunch. I didn’t feel like preparing anything as I was too tired. However, my hungry stomach didn’t let me sleep. I strolled into the kitchen to see if there is anything. Then I quickly prepared omelet with those sleepy eyes. I was so hungry that, I stuffed it into my mouth, almost chocked myself in a hurry. Once I was satisfied, I went straight to the bed.
