what happened after my last post...

It has been a long time, since I visited my own blog! So many things have happened over the past couple of months… Though I wish to write something regularly here, it seems difficult to find some quality time. Yup, almost a year passed since I wrote something here. So let me get started with what I have in mind for now… Though its 2011, in my blog I am still in 2010! So will start from there from where I had left this blog. . . Being desperate for a change.. Working for Robosoft was fun. A wonderful friendly atmosphere with lots of friends. People there don’t see you as a colleague. Instead they become part of your family. I can say that I was well settled there with my house situated just 10 min of bike ride away. I was happy within the comfort zone. Udupi is a place to live a normal, peaceful life. While many thought I wouldn’t leave, I had something else in my mind. It was the time when my mind started drifting towards outside world influenced by many others. I don’t deny there were...

So how did it happen??

well, it’s a long story. I will try to make it short and simple :) I saw her for the first time (...that is when I at her :P ) There was some fair setup in Udupi. I was with my parents roaming around. I was in my third year of engineering and had come to native. While I was simply looking at the stores, I saw this gal - fair and pretty. My mind started searching for the possible data entry to see if there was any match. My brain said - match found. I had seen her in the college - one among the fresher. When a new batch comes to the college, I need not tell you again that all boys start checking the new faces (gals of course). Back to the fair - I gave a look (stare) at her. Perhaps she didn't even noticed me. Well, I don't blame her. I was horribly skinny those days so could've gone easily unnoticed! Who is this Guy? Prateek? Since then we hardly came across each other. And then this day came when I became the organizer of a musical event. My phone number was published all...

Narasimha Maha-Mantra ( Mantrarajapada Stotram)

Image
Image courtesy - google images It is said that, Lord Narasimha is the "Poorna" avataara and one of the most powerful  incarnation of Lord Vishnu. I am truly blessed to have Lord Narasimha as our "Kul Deva". The Shloka or mantra (holy chants) are one of the forms mainly written in Sanskrit - with an intension to praise or worship God. One such chant is this Narasimha Maha Mantra.   I learned this from my grand father (Late. Srinivas Padiyar). According to him, this is the most powerful Shloka of its kind. I searched over the net to get more information on this. But in most of the relevant sites, I could find only the first shloka, which is believed to be the most powerful of all. The continuation of this mantra is not found anywhere over the net (I couldn't find...).  I believe, the entire shloka written here is one of the rarest to find. May Lord Narasimha bless you all. Update : One of the readers gave me link which has the meaning to these shlokas. I have inc...

I just turned 25...

Image
Yeah, that's right. I have been on this earth for 25 long years now. (Wow!) It is not an achievement, perhaps my destiny. I thank god for letting me live here (I hope he will let me live even more ;) ). I don't know how to react on finishing this so called milestone. Whether to feel happy that it is time for yet another birthday party or feel sad that I am growing old ;) and for the reason that I have to treat my friends. Whatever it is, on this day, 25 years ago, I was born! I opened my eyes to see this beautiful world for the first time! So innocent, so delicate, so pure just like every other newborn. I was rewarded by the beautiful gift of god... the Life... Today, I am writing this post to share things which I might have never shared before... Note: This post is not for those who don't want to read things about me... not for those who don't like long posts... and not for those who think this is getting boring. If you fall in this category, you better stop reading it...

Ajmal Kasab and the death sentence.

Image
Well, we all know who is this Ajmal Kasab. Almost 20 months after the 26/11 incident, the lone survival of the Pakistani gunman has been sentenced to death by the Supreme court of India. On the same day I came to know about many other facts. In short, unlike the deaths list which Yamadev handles, Indian government has another such list for those who don’t deserve to live and are already sentenced to death! (These facts written below are collected from various websites and the numbers/values may not be accurate)   * Kasab still holds right(!) to appeal for mercy petition before Hon. President of India against the punishment.   He has a right to appeal? What for? Who had given him the right to kill so many people in the first place? Along with his partners, he did it purposely with all his senses. He should not be given any rights.   * There are already 29 of such prisoners waiting for the mercy petitions. Which means...

Hang out with pals - Part2

Click here to read first part... We chatted, teased and laughed like we always do. After one round of food at DeeTee, we came out and headed towards a small restaurant near bajaj show room. This was one of our pit stops whenever we visit manipal. I ordered a cheese burger which I didn’t like much as the bun was over roasted. It was 11 and we decided to go back home and get some sleep. The next morning, as usual Saturdays’, woke up at 11am and checked for any messages from these guys. I had missed the dinner the previous day, so decided to have lunch at home, while they partied in Tambulam. Devi and Kitta then came to my home and later Gaza joined us. You see, my mom is such a sweetheart who can mingle with anyone and love to make to jokes. As I had expected, it was a wonderful conversation that we truly enjoyed. Now, that all of have crossed 24 the hot topic is about the marriages. My mom in particular, is so much ready to get me into it. Like all ...

Hang out with pals - Part1

After a long time, I met my close friends last weekend. And, what else could be a better occasion than to have someone's b'day on the same day? Devi - my roommate during college days had completed his silver jubilee on this earth. He looks quiet older than that (just kidding ;) ). But don't go by his looks. In fact, we should never judge a person by his looks. Devi, is like a package of everything. Talk about any sports he is a master. And in academics he holds a gold medal! Good sense of humor, smart and a great batsman (you know what I mean :P ) As always, I remembered that it’s his b'day when Kitta called to check whether I can come for the late night party on Friday. (You can't expect me to remember the b'days of my friends - coz sometimes, I even forget my parents' birthday!)  Anyways, I was quiet bugged with all the work so waiting for something of this sort. I reached manipal at around 7.30. Kitta had many plans o...
